📜 Jungles of Chult Campaign
The campaign begins with the death curse and an expedition to Chult, then expands into the Lost City of Omu. Follow the permanent gold quest chain before optimizing weekly progress or hunt routes.
| Stage | Location | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Reach Port Nyanzaru | Port Nyanzaru | Establish the expedition hub, meet contacts and open campaign tasks. |
| 2. Explore the Jungle | Soshenstar River | Investigate the death curse, survive the jungle and unlock repeatable routes. |
| 3. Build the Campaign | Journal and campaign store | Advance permanent milestones, boons and group-content access. |
| 4. Enter the Tomb | Tomb of the Nine Gods | Pursue the source of the death curse through the five-player dungeon. |
| 5. Discover Omu | Lost City of Omu | Continue the story through ruined temples, tunnels and yuan-ti schemes. |
| 6. Face the Atropal | Cradle of the Death God | Confront Acererak's plan in the ten-player trial. |
🗺️ Port Nyanzaru, Soshenstar River & Omu
The Chult story uses Port Nyanzaru as its service hub and two major adventure areas for exploration, quests and hunts. Travel becomes far easier after the story has opened each destination and the routes are learned.
| Location | Function | Navigation Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Port Nyanzaru | Campaign contacts, vendors, expedition services and travel hub. | Return here for reports and store access rather than searching a combat zone. |
| Soshenstar River | Jungle quests, dinosaurs, undead, Heroics and Module 12 hunts. | Follow paths around cliffs and river barriers; direct compass lines can fail. |
| Lost City of Omu | Module 13 story, ruins, tunnels, Heroics and advanced hunts. | Check elevation and temple entrances when a marker appears close but unreachable. |
| Fane of the Night Serpent | Instanced yuan-ti story location tied to Omu. | Enter through the active quest route. |
| Tomb / Cradle | Queued dungeon and trial destinations. | Use the queue panel and live requirements, not only the world map. |
Jungle Routes
Stack quests by area and finish nearby objectives before returning to Port Nyanzaru.
Omu Elevation
Ruins and underground passages frequently place objectives above or below the apparent marker.
Travel Unlocks
If Omu is absent, continue the campaign story and required milestones.
🦖 Chult & Omu Hunt System
Chult hunts use a tiered lure system: defeat eligible enemies for components, combine or exchange them into lures and summon named targets at specific locations. Higher hunt tiers depend on materials from earlier targets.
| Hunt Step | Action | Key Check |
|---|---|---|
| Farm Components | Defeat the enemy type tied to the required material. | Confirm zone, enemy and live drop source. |
| Create the Lure | Exchange the correct components through the hunt system. | Verify the intended target and binding. |
| Gather the Party | Move every participant to the correct summon location. | Agree on ownership and loot expectations. |
| Summon the Target | Consume the lure and complete the named hunt. | Do not activate before the group is ready. |
| Advance Tiers | Use qualifying earlier-hunt drops for stronger lures. | Protect rare components and confirm the full recipe. |
| Challenge the Tyrant | Pursue Omu's signature Tyrant hunt when the required route is ready. | Use a prepared group and exact live lure information. |
Soshenstar Hunts
Module 12 targets occupy jungle locations and begin the campaign's hunt economy.
Omu Hunts
Module 13 expands the system with city targets, higher-tier paths and the Tyrant.
Full Cost Matters
A final hunt includes every component and precursor target needed to create its lure.
⚔️ Tomb of the Nine Gods & Cradle
The combined campaign includes a five-player dungeon and a ten-player trial. Both are mechanically dense, and modern groups should use current guides even when the story and arena identity remain unchanged.
| Activity | Group | Story Purpose | Preparation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tomb of the Nine Gods | Five players | Enter Acererak's deadly tomb and pursue the source of the death curse. | Expect traps, encounter-specific objects, movement mechanics and multiple boss phases. |
| Cradle of the Death God | Ten players | Confront the Atropal and the culmination of Acererak's Omu plan. | Assign movement, recovery and objective handling before the pull. |
Tomb Discipline
Interact with mechanics deliberately; racing ahead can trigger traps or separate the group.
Cradle Movement
The trial is remembered for punishing movement and arena-control mechanics. Follow the current group's calls.
Live Requirements
Old Item Levels, party compositions and damage strategies are historical; the queue panel wins.
🛡️ Campaign, Hunt & Queue Rewards
Chult rewards are distributed across weekly campaign progress, Heroics, hunt tiers, stores, the Tomb and the Cradle. A recognizable old item name should be checked for its current effect and source before farming.
| Source | Reward Type | Verify |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign Track | Boons, milestones and permanent unlocks. | Current currency and completion state. |
| Heroic Encounters | Zone currency and public reward pools. | Encounter objective and participation. |
| Hunts | Target- and tier-specific equipment. | Exact lure, target and live drop. |
| Campaign Store | Progress-gated gear and supplies. | Unlock, price and binding. |
| Tomb of the Nine Gods | Dungeon drops, chest items and achievements. | Boss/chest source and live queue. |
| Cradle of the Death God | Trial rewards and achievements. | Current tier, chest pool and reroll cost. |
Old Best-in-Slot Lists
Many Chult items were once prominent. Treat historical rankings as context, not a current recommendation.
Unique Effects
Some older items remain situational because of effects rather than Item Level. Compare the entire build.
Avoid Blind Farming
Confirm the collection entry, tooltip and maintained guide before building a multi-tier lure chain.
💀 The Death Curse & Acererak
The Chult arc follows a spreading death curse to the Soulmonger and then deeper into Omu, where Acererak's design and the Atropal threaten far more than the expedition.
Death Curse
A wasting malady affects the resurrected and prevents the dead from returning, driving the expedition to Chult.
Port Nyanzaru
The port is the practical and narrative base for entering the dangerous interior.
Jungle Expedition
Dinosaurs, undead and rival threats make the search for the curse's source a survival campaign.
Tomb of the Nine Gods
Acererak's traps and the Soulmonger bring the original investigation to its dungeon climax.
Lost City of Omu
The ruined city expands the mystery through temples, yuan-ti and deeper campaign threats.
The Atropal
Cradle of the Death God resolves the expanded Omu arc in a ten-player confrontation.

Continue the expanded story, travel routes and hunt system.
6. Finish in the Cradle
Enter the ten-player trial with current mechanics and group expectations.
🕰️ Using Chult Guides Today
The maps, named hunts and encounter identity remain useful, but 2017–2018 numeric advice predates multiple combat, queue and reward overhauls.
