Stronghold Leveling

Leveling a guild Stronghold requires more than filling the Coffer. Guild Hall progression also depends on structures, building ranks, available plots and careful resource management.

The Guild Hall

The Guild Hall is the primary structure of the Stronghold and is the center of guild progression.

As the Guild Hall increases in rank, new building opportunities become available, Coffer capacity increases and other Stronghold structures can be upgraded further.

Important: When checking how many structures are required for a future Guild Hall upgrade, remember that the Guild Hall itself counts as one of the structures at that rank.

How Guild Hall Progression Works

Guild Hall progression alternates between increasing Stronghold capacity and meeting new structure requirements.

Guild Hall Rank General Progression Effect
Rank 1 Starting Guild Hall. The Stronghold begins developing from here.
Even Ranks Increase Coffer capacity and allow Stronghold structures to advance to a higher rank.
Odd Ranks Require additional developed structures and unlock additional Stronghold building opportunities.
Rank 20 Maximum Guild Hall progression for the traditional Stronghold leveling system.

Guild Hall Level Alone Is Not Enough

A guild cannot simply fill the resource requirements and repeatedly upgrade the Guild Hall. At key ranks, the Stronghold must also have enough structures developed to the required level before the next Guild Hall upgrade becomes available.

Use the Coffer for the Real Numbers

The Stronghold Coffer shows the guild's current contribution target, how much of each resource is already available and how much is still needed.

This is the best place to check resource requirements because the Coffer displays the values for your guild, including applicable Alliance discounts.

Current Target: Shows the structure or upgrade the guild is currently working toward.
Currently in Guild Coffers: Shows how much of a resource the guild already has.
Needed for Current Target: Shows the amount required for the selected construction or upgrade.
Maximum Coffer Capacity: Shows how much of that resource the Stronghold can currently store.

Resources Used for Stronghold Upgrades

Stronghold construction uses several different resource categories. Different structures and ranks require different combinations.

Shards of Power
Food
Wood
Stone

Stronghold Vouchers

Contribution Targets

Guild leadership can select a Stronghold construction or upgrade as the guild's current contribution target.

Setting a target helps members understand what the guild needs most and makes it easier to concentrate donations on the resources that will actually move the Stronghold forward.

Show Current Target

Displays the construction or upgrade currently selected by guild leadership.

Show Possible

Displays projects that the Stronghold is currently capable of working toward.

Show All

Displays the wider list of Stronghold structures and building possibilities.

Target Star

The star shown in Stronghold management identifies the guild's currently selected contribution target.

Guild Management Tools

The Stronghold section of Guild Management provides several tools that make planning and tracking upgrades much easier.

View Structures

See existing Stronghold structures, their locations and their current ranks.

View Available Construction

See which plots and structures are currently available for construction.

Track Contributions

Guild activity records can help leadership see who has contributed resources to the Stronghold.

Export Records

Guild contribution information can be exported when officers need a more detailed record of Stronghold activity.

Set the Target

Leadership can change the current contribution target as guild priorities change.

Locate Structures

Guild Management and the Stronghold map help players find structures and construction plots throughout the zone.

Production Structures

Several permanent Stronghold structures generate resources over time. These structures need to be tended so their stored resources are transferred into the Stronghold Coffer.

Farm

Produces Food for the Stronghold.

Lumberyard

Produces Wood for the Stronghold.

Mine

Produces Metal for the Stronghold.

Quarry

Produces Stone for the Stronghold.

Remember to tend them: Generated resources do not help the guild while they are simply sitting inside the production structure. Members can visit these structures and interact with them to move the resources into the Coffer.

Support Structures

Support structures work alongside production buildings. Depending on the structure, they can improve resource production or storage.

Animal Pen

Supports Food production from the Farm.

Milling Yard

Supports Wood production from the Lumberyard.

Smelter's Yard

Supports Metal production from the Mine.

Masonry Guild

Supports Stone production from the Quarry.

Warehouse

Instead of producing a resource, the Warehouse increases Stronghold Coffer capacity.

Finding Stronghold Structures

The Stronghold map identifies structure locations throughout the guild zone.

Guild Management can also show the location of existing structures, available plots and the guild's current construction target.

This is especially useful when it is time to tend production structures or physically interact with a construction plot to begin an upgrade.

How to Complete an Upgrade

Decide which structure or Guild Hall upgrade the guild needs next.
Set that project as the guild's contribution target.
Check the Coffer to see exactly which resources are still needed.
Have guild members gather and donate the needed resources.
Confirm that all required structure-rank conditions have also been met.
Once all requirements are satisfied, locate the appropriate structure or construction plot in the Stronghold.
Interact with the plot or structure to begin or complete the construction upgrade.

Stronghold Leveling Is a Guild Project

Efficient Stronghold growth comes from coordinating the contribution target, keeping production structures tended, collecting Shards and Influence, watching Coffer capacity and directing members toward the resources needed for the next upgrade.

How Every Guild Member Can Help

Check the Target

Look at the current contribution target before donating large quantities of resources.

Tend Structures

If you pass a Farm, Lumberyard, Mine or Quarry that needs tending, collect its resources for the guild.

Run Stronghold Content

Heroic Encounters, Marauders and Stronghold quests provide resources used for guild development.

Donate Vouchers

Stronghold vouchers can help fill specific Coffer resource categories.

Use Alts

Many Stronghold activities and rewards are character-based, allowing additional characters to contribute more.

Ask What Is Needed

If you are unsure what to farm or donate, ask guild leadership which resource is currently holding up the next upgrade.
